Reception Desk - Administrative Support person will perform a variety of tasks that support museum operations during staff maternity leave. These include welcoming visitors to the museum; staffing the museum store; and assisting with various administrative tasks including creating spreadsheets, preparing mailings. Additionally may possibly help with social media and write history blog and/or articles. This position reports to the executive director, Kathleen Klehr.

Scott County Historical Society - Stans Museum is a countywide professional institution taking a leadership role in the management of the historical resources of Scott County. It serves its communities through preserving and making information available through exhibits, and educational programs for all ages. It strives to make history fun.

Description

The Scott County Historical Society operates the Stans Museum and the 1908 Stans House in downtown Shakopee. As a membership organization, we work to save and share the history and cultural heritage of Scott County.

SCHS offers: engaging exhibits, youth, adult and outreach programs, extensive research library, museum store, and much more
