ORGANIZATION: Sea Save Foundation

We are looking for an editing manager to join our team as the leader of our Week In Review. The Week In Review is a weekly online blog that reviews the most important environmental news stories of the week. The ideal leader will be detailed oriented, a great communicator, and result driven. This position is best suited for someone who is a passionate and compelling writer and who is methodical about grammar.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Reviewing all submitted stories and selecting the ones that best align with our mission.

  • Review, correct, rearrange, and edit the stories in BLOGGER as needed.
  • Change and or update the cover pictures as needed.
  • Manage other team members to ensure we stay on track.

Skills required:

* Excellent organizational skills.

  • Works well in a team.
  • Good writing and communication skills required.
  • Some experience within the Environmental or Conservation movement a plus.

Description

Sea Save Foundation approaches conservation from two fronts:

  1. We develop and promote inspiring educational campaigns that showcase the beauty of ocean flora and fauna and underscore the current challenges facing our marine ecosystems.
  2. We couple serious environmental issues with concrete advocacy campaigns undertaken by our supporters and partners. With these programs, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of ocean conservation and create sustainable, healthy ecosystems for generations to come. It’s your ocean. Do something about it!
