The Austin Community Tree program is looking for volunteers to help with a block walk to get the word out about the city's annual tree planting event.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 29 to reach residents in Austin's North Shoal Creek neighborhood.
We will meet at 9 am. Make sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
Location: Pillow Elementary; 3025 Crosscreek Dr, Austin, TX 78757
What volunteers will be doing:
- Block-walk a section of the North Shoal Creek neighborhood to offer trees to eligible properties;
- Distribute door hangers and tree flags to potential tree-planting sites;
- Record data;
- Volunteers should bring hat, sunscreen, and water.
- On-site training will be provided.
- Refreshments provided
