ORGANIZATION: Niagara RSVP at HANCI

Peer Leader will help people in the community learn the tools they need to live a healthy and more active life.

Peer Leaders will need to attend 5 full days of training (August 29, 31, Sept. 5, 7 & 12 from 8-4:30 pm) and after the training commit to running 2 workshops per year (Each workshop is 2 1/2 hours long, one day/week for 6 weeks)

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) helps individuals age 55 and older find meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout Niagara County.

Description

RSVP volunteers respond to community needs by using their knowledge and experience at 75 public and not-for-profit agencies in the following National Performance Measures Focus areas:

Healthy Futures

Meal delivery services to homebound seniors and disabled individuals

Education

Economic Opportunity

Short-term projects
