Volunteers are crucial to the Lupus Foundation America, Greater Ohio Chapter. As a volunteer, it is your duty and responsibility to help the walk function smoothly. Each volunteer will be assigned one or more areas that need assistance. We will provide specific tasks for each position:

Event Set-Up: If you help with event set-u, you are in charge of making sure that the walk site is ready before everyone arrives. These volunteers will check in with LFA, GOC Staff by 8:00 AM. The set-up crew will be helping with tents, tables, and chairs, placing signs up around the walk site and the walk route, and ensuring that activity tables have all required materials as listed on your site map.

Check-in/Registration:These volunteers ensure that all attendees have completed registration and signed the photography and liability waiver.

Activity Tables:Volunteers are needed to supervise various activities during the pre-walk celebration. More information coming soon.

Road Warriors: Without you, who will know where to go? Road Warriors will help participants during the walk by directing them on which way to go. We don’t want anyone getting lost or veering off the path, so you are responsible for keeping everyone moving in the right direction. Please cheer people on as they walk and remind them to obey all traffic laws. You will be given extra maps of the walk route

Event Tear-Down: If you are part of our cleanup crew, you will help take down the tents; collect any straggling papers or signs; pick up waste, and make sure the site looks as beautiful as it was before we arrived. The biggest help needed is here. We are always looking for strong hands to help us close down the event.
