Do you have free time during the week? Are you interested in helping families in need in your community? Are you a strong team leader who enjoys working with others? South County Outreach has a volunteer opportunity for you!
The Food Pantry at South County Outreach provides emergency food for 2,000-3,000 families in need each month. We frequently invite corporate groups to come in and volunteer for service projects in our food pantry. Groups will assist with sorting through food donations and stocking our shelves.
We are currently seeking a volunteer to fill our Service Project Leader position.
This volunteer will be responsible for leading corporate groups during their service projects. When corporate groups come in to volunteer, the Service Project Leader will instruct them on what needs to be done in the pantry that day and lead them for 2-3 hours of service.
We will train the Service Project Leader on everything they need to know about our Food Pantry and how to lead service projects.
We are seeking someone who is motivated, loves working with others, and can handle a fast-paced environment.
Availability during the week. Typically 2-3 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
