2017 Handlebars for the Homeless is an amazing 15-Mile bike ride through Detroit to see some of the hidden gems of the city. This ride benefits the Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO)'s endless efforts to eradicate homelessness in Detroit. NSO is a trusted long-time Detroit-born agency focused on the city's most vulnerable citizens. Known and well respected in the community, our volunteer efforts on August 6th will enable them to raise funding to continue serving homeless individuals where they are.
As a volunteer you will be enabling this event to be possible and thus supporting thousands of homeless individuals in the city. You will meet new young, intelligent, engaged professionals who care about their community. After the event is over there will be at volunteer appreciation party at 2 PM (or you can take a raincheck for a paid event in the future).
