The Basics
Listos para el kinder (hereafter referred to as Listos) is Multnomah County Library’s successful early literacy program for Spanish-speaking families with children 3 to 5 years old. Listos empowers Latino parents to prepare their children for kindergarten. The program also provides parents the skills to use early learning activities in their children’s daily lives. The library is recruiting 6-8 volunteers to help as program assistants.

The time commitment is weekly or every other week for about 3 hours. Programs run for 13 sessions in about 3 months. Listos programs are offered at several libraries in East County.
