Nurses & Massage Therapy Volunteers Needed for Annual YWCA BABES Retreat

We are looking for Nurse, Massage Therapist, and Acupuncturist volunteers to offer chair or table massages, or acupuncture to participants at the BABES annual retreat. We are also open to volunteers who can offer other types of healing arts, such as Reiki or Reflexology--contact us for more information.
BABES Network-YWCA is a peer support program for women living with HIV; a sisterhood of women facing HIV together. You will be providing a wonderful service at the BABES annual retreat and improving our women's quality of life for the weekend. This gives our women the opportunity to receive a service they do not often have access to or income to utilize it. Your massage services will physically and mentally improve our women's overall health and allow for a successful annual retreat!
The BABES retreat is on Vashon Island from July 28th-30th at Camp Burton ( www.campburton.com). Massage therapist volunteers will offer massage (hand, shoulder, or table massage depending on expertise) sessions for women at the BABES Annual Retreat. Therapists must be able to adapt massage techniques to each woman's comfort level. Therapists will be required to collect YWCA release of liability from new client participants.

- Female nurses preferred
- Female massage therapists preferred
- Event is from July 28th-30th
- We will work with you as to how many massages you would like to do a day
- Availability during the weekend of July 28-30, 2017: 3-day commitment preferred, but we would also accept a Saturday & Sunday commitment
- Please note: Mileage cannot be reimbursed, but ferry tickets, lodging, and meals will be provided or reimbursed in exchange for generously offering your skills
Requirements:
- Must provide proof of certification and personal liability insurance
- Experience with or knowledge of HIV/AIDS
- Provides own massage table or has ability to adapt massage to chair position and hand massages
- Must clear YWCA Criminal Background Check before date of retreat
- Must have transportation to reach retreat location at Camp Burton on Vashon Island
