Bay Cove Human Services is currently recruiting for Human Rights Committee (HRC) members. The HRC is an advisory committee that protects and promotes Human Rights of the individuals that we serve who have psychiatric and/or developmental disabilites. This volunteer position is open to anyone 18 years and older who can make a one year commitment. We also need professionals in the following fields: Medical (MD, RN, LPN), Legal (Lawyers, Paralegal, law students) and Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinicians. The committee meets 10 times a year (September - June) in downtown Boston. Committee members also visit the residences and day programs in the metro Boston and the southeast region. During these visit, volunteers will speak with the individuals to ensure their Human Rights are being supported at the program.

Volunteers must be available 3 to 4 hours a month to attend the monthly meeting held on the first Wednesday at 6pm and participate in a program visit. A CORI background check, resume and two reference checks are required. Training is provided for this volunteer position.
