Instructors needed for 2017-2018 academic year (Fall 2017 - May 2018) to teach at least 8 hours per month (2-4 hours/week). GWC is a FREE program offered to girls (but open to boys) in grades 6-12. Instructors will follow GWC curriculum every week. Instructors must be comfortable implementing and explaining basic programming concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, and functions; Computer Science degree preferred but not required. Fulfill communication and reporting requirements in accordance with BGCM and GWC club standards. Possibly work with GWC and BGCM staff to organize activities which expose girls to the tech world, including field trips to tech companies and bringing in guest speakers. Located in the heart of Jackson, NJ, we specialize in improving the self esteem of youth and families in surrounding suburban as well as underrepresented and underprivileged communities, while promoting integrity and stewardship, and offering, to youth in our surrounding states from Maine to North Carolina, an innovative opportunity to train, excel, and compete academically, artistically, and athletically.
