Good day!

We are looking for help with our school lunch program. We are a small, private Greek parochial school that promotes Hellenic culture and Greek Orthodox principles since 1963. Since 2005, the school now warmly welcomes children baptized in all Christian traditions into its school community.

We need volunteers who will be able to help our lead staff monitor about 50 students in the cafeteria. There are two 45-minute sessions starting at 10:45am and then 11:30am.

There is no requirement to work with lunches or cleanup. This position is solely to watch and intereact with our students!

If you are interested, please contact us to set up a schedule, which can be from one to five days per week depending on your availability.

Thank you!

Mission Statement

A. Fantis is to provide an exceptional educational experience anchored in Orthodox Christian principles that embodies the universal ideals of Hellenism by fostering the individual pursuit of knowledge, an appreciation of beauty, and a devotion to democratic civic culture.

Description

The A. Fantis Parochial School of Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral is a Greek Orthodox Elementary and Middle School in Brooklyn, New York educating and nurturing children from pre-school through 8th grade.

Established in 1963 by a group of dedicated Greek immigrants, A. Fantis continues to offer an education rooted in Hellenic culture and Christian teachings. It provides students with an excellent education, paving the way for a smooth transition into high school.

Our school’s accomplished educational program attracts families interested in small, student-centered classes within a strong academic and cultural environment.

A. Fantis Parochial School has students from Brooklyn, Manhattan, and beyond. Whilst many of our students speak Greek and English within the home environment, we currently also have students who are speakers, amongst other languages, of Finnish, French, Italian and Spanish. The school is welcoming of every student, and the student body is as racially, economically, and culturally diverse as New York City itself.
