Fresh Truck has an awesome event coming up at the Brigham Women's Faulkner Hospital. We are having a Hyde Park Medical Pop-Up Market from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm and are looking for volunteers to help out. Volunteers will help greet customers, bag and restock produce, and help clean up after the event. Get ready to meet great people, see a positive impact on community health, and take home some fruits and veggies for free! We are also looking for someone to lead a fun guacamole cooking demo!
We do not require for volunteers to stay with us during the entire time frame. If you are interested in helping out, please comment and include the time frame you can attend and the best phone number to reach you. We appreciate any help!

Description
It all started while Josh, our founder, was working as a health educator at the MGH Charlestown Healthcare Center. He kept hearing from his families that it was difficult to shop for healthy food - at that time, the only grocery store in the neighborhood was shutting down for a year-long renovation. The health center had no way of solving for the fact that patients didn’t have access to the food they needed to stay healthy. It was this experience that inspired Fresh Truck to rethink the traditional grocery store model, make it mobile, and bring food closer to the people who need it the most. In 2018, we expanded our efforts to address health disparities by developing Fresh Connect, a platform that makes it possible for health care providers to prescribe food as medicine. We have a big vision for the future of food and healthcare, and we are only just getting started.
