True to Life Ministries will be holding an Employment 101 class off site at Brazos Place in Freeport, Texas. We need 1-2 volunteers for the first 5 days of class and then 8-10 volunteers on day 6 when we conduct mock interviews for class participants. Class is held from 6-8 pm, we would like volunteers to arrive by 5:30 pm for a brief orientation prior to class. The daily assignments for volunteers are as follows:
- Day 1 Tue, Aug 1 - Warmly greet participants and assist class facilitator as needed.
- Day 2 Wed, Aug 2 - Help participants complete a job application.
- Day 3 Thu, Aug 3 - Help participants complete a resume worksheet.
- Day 4 Tue, Aug 8 - Help participants prepare answers to common interview questions.
- Day 5 Wed, Aug 9 - Continue to help participants prepare answers to common interview questions and then practice interviewing.
- Day 6 Thu, Aug 10 - Mock interview sessions. Using a script provided to you, help clients run through a mock interview in order to prepare them for an actual interview.

TTLM’s programs and services are carefully designed to equip people with what they need to achieve their life’s greatest potential, and guiding them as they identify and remove the major barriers holding them back. Our focus areas include:
Employment & Education Services: Free classes, workshops, and walk-in services help clients gain employment, learn practical skills, and access educational resources in order to become financially independent.
Mentoring & Case Management: Case management resources and one-on-one mentoring relationships work hand-in-hand to help individuals who are serious about life change keep moving forward. This is our way of saying, "we are committed to sharing this journey with you!"
Student Servies: Equipping students with what they need to succeed now is a vital part of investing in their future. Our wide range of Student Services not only address tangible needs such as student hunger, but also provide unique opportunities for at-risk students to grow personally and spiritually.
Social Enterprise: We believe major life transformation can occur when meaningful work and powerful resources are unleaded together. TTLM now has two thriving resale stores in downtown Lake Jackson. Refresh Boutique and The Box serve as a training ground for young adults to learn, improve and grow both personally and professionally.
