The Denver Day Works program gives people in the community who are experiencing homelessness the opportunity to work; they clean up our parks and city buildings. Many of our participants are veterans, elderly and disabled. We need volunteers to provide them with breakfast or lunch. It's the only meal that most of them will get all day!
Feed the homeless at various locations around Northwest and West Denver. Make the food in your own kitchen and deliver it to Civic Center park at 8 am or the job site around 11 am. The program runs Tuesday-Friday. All meals, ingredients and time are tax deductible. You'd be cooking approximately 20 people.
You can do this one day per week, one day per month, one day every other month, or it can be a one time thing! Whatever you choose!
