The Denver Day Works program gives people in the community who are experiencing homelessness the opportunity to work; our participants clean up our parks and city buildings. Many of our participants are veterans, elderly and disabled. We need volunteers to provide them with breakfast or lunch. It's the only meal that most of them will get all day!
Feed the homeless at various locations around the Denver metro area. Make the food in your own kitchen and deliver breakfast to Civic Center park at 8 am, or bring lunch to the job site at around 11 am. The program runs Tuesday-Friday. All meals, ingredients and time are tax deductible. You'll cook for approximately 12 people.
You can do this one day per week, one day per month, one day every other month, or it can be a one time thing! Whatever you choose!

Description
We provide vocational rehabilitation and employment services to individuals with mental, emotional, physical and economic challenges. In doing so, we also provide an able workforce to businesses. We offer evaluation, training, placement and support services to the disabled, the homeless and those receiving qualifying government aid. Our commercial services include document destruction, news broadcast duplication and the ability to run departments such as mail-rooms or custodial crews. We are funded by earned production revenue, fees for service and grants or donations.
