Mission Statement
Our mission is to increase achievement levels in low income, at-risk youth and adults by improving their economic status and encouraging contribution to the regional economy. We accomplish this by providing personal and career mentoring, GED preparation, and logistical supports that help launch individuals into a career and/or post-secondary education. Our vision is to provide the highest quality programs and leadership opportunities to strengthen self-advocacy, instill self-worth, and engender a lifelong value of learning. This way, we believe we can introduce productive and responsible members to society at large.
Description
The disconnected youth and adults we serve would otherwise spend much of their adult lives in poverty, unemployed or marginally employed. Our organization focuses on reducing the economic disparities and targets "disconnected" youth and adults by providing JOB PREPAREDNESS/READINESS, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING and JOB COACHING free for youth and adults that live in Sacramento and surrounding areas and are at/high risk, low income and are chronically unemployed and/or receiving public assistance to ensure they are successfully employed. Ultimate success is self-sufficiency.
