Volunteers needed to help residents of our Children's Comprehensive Care Center - a skilled nursing facility with their homework and to tutor residents in subjects that they are having difficulty in. Must be patient and commit to a weekly schedule. Ideal opportunity for high school students looking for community service hours, college students and retirees. Must undergo a Level 2 Background Screening at your own expense and have a Certificate of Good Health completed by a physician. Must be 16 years or older

Description
Since 1971, Broward Children's Center has provided quality programs to infants, children, and young adults with special health care needs. The Center provides a wide range of direct care, support, and quality of life advocacy services for these children and their families. Our services include: Preschools for typically developing and special needs children, Education for children who are medically complex, Rehabilitation, Medical Transportation; Licensed home health care; In-home and facility based respite care; Before & After School Programs; Physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy; Counseling, Pediatric Extended care, Group Homes, and Diaphragmatic Pacing System Implementation and Rehabilitation
