PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Volunteers on this team build the capacity of Volunteer Services by supporting and carrying out key activities such as recruitment, screening, intake, teaching, and managing our volunteer database, Volunteer Connection.

OPEN TIME DAYS

We ask for a commitment of 6 months from new volunteers. Based on your position, you can expect a typical week to include:

VMS Administrators - 3 hours/week (work remotely/virtually or from our Fairfax office)

Recruitment Lead(s) - 10 hours/week (work remotely/virtually or from our Fairfax office)

Engagement Lead - 4-6 hours/week (one day each week)

Intake Volunteers - 8 hours/week (remote/virtual position)

REQUIRED TRAINING

Orientation to Red Cross

Some on-the-job training will be provided based on your position assignment; Training will occur at our Regional Headquarters in Fairfax, VA

*Intake Volunteers will participate in web-based training from their remote/virtual work location
