Graze in Peace Farm Animal Rescue and Learning Center in southern Maine is in need of skilled animal and people lovers to join our team of volunteers. Please send us a message if you have experience in the following areas and want to help:

  • Development Board Member: Work with the board of directors to setup and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan. Must be vegan, have other nonprofit fundraising experience and be an organized self-starter.

  • Marketing and Promotion Intern: Looking for someone with education or experience in public relations, business or marketing to work on our social media campaigns and public relations activities. Send us a resume or a list of previous relevant experience.

Our mission is to inspire a compassionate, healthy and earth-friendly way for all beings to live together and to share our rescue farm with vulnerable people in our community so that they can experience a healing connection to others, to nature and to themselves.

Description

Graze in Peace is a farm animal sanctuary and learning center located on 20 acres just north of Portland, Maine. Our current rescued residents include chickens, turkeys, pigs, goats, sheep and llamas. Along with sanctuary to over 60 farmed animals, we offer humane education, community outreach, and therapeutic Care Farm activities where displaced, disadvantaged or disabled people can come use the therapeutic setting of our rescue farm as a place for healing and learning.
