We are looking for a few healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, paramedics, EMT.s, etc) to discuss common healthcare issues common in poor communities (diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, sickle cell, etc.) and ways that these issues can be prevented or at least managed through a better diet, exercise, medication, etc. The audience is mixed with both children and adults and many will be lower income and/or uninsured, therefore any referrals to free clinic locations or government programs will be very beneficial.
During this event, we will also be giving away a free breakfast, free books, and free school supplies. 50 people in total are estimated to be in attendance.
