Are you comfortable using a tablet? Would you like to help senior citizens learn how? The Lehi Senior Center is hosting a two-day Tablet Training for senior citizens and is in need of aids to help run the program!
You do NOT have to be a tablet expert. Learner’s read and follow on-screen instructions. Your job-to is to be there when they have questions!
Seniors will use a program that is already created on an app called Sip’n’Swipe, which walks them through step by step, teaching them the different functions of using a tablet, and letting them practice! Volunteers will walk around and help answer simple questions such as how to tap, how to swipe, and more.
The dates are Monday, August 7 and Tuesday, August 8 th from 9am - 11am on both days. It is preferred that volunteers help out with both days. Volunteers do not need to own their own tablet. Volunteers will receive coupons to local restaurants for their assistance. Contact Jessie Jones if you are interested in volunteering: call 385-201-2349 or email jjones@lehi-ut.gov. Any help will be so appreciated!

Description
All of our activities are volunteer run - we strive to provide classes and activities at little to no cost to the senior community. This is made possible by the help of volunteers! We have had senior volunteers teach dance class, family history class, watercolor class, and craft classes. We have occasional businesses come in to give workshops on topics such as fall prevention, story writing, and more. We are always looking for volunteers to help us provide programs that will benefit the senior community!
