ORGANIZATION: Safe Families for Children

  • 5 people are interested

Family Coaches help parents in crisis get back on their feet. They offer support by helping them find resources to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children. They monitor the children’s safety beginning with 48 hours after the child is moved in with a Host Family, and each week for at least a month. They also facilitate the relationship between the Host Family and the Placing Family. Characteristic that would be beneficial to be a successful Family Coach would be good listening and communication skills, empathy, ability to problem solve, and ability to provide peace during a stressful situation.
