Slime Experiment
Students learn about polymers in the "science of goo"

RESET places volunteer scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians (STEM) in Vermont, DC, Virginia and Maryland elementary schools and Pre-Kindergarten Centers to lead students in hands-on STEM activities. RESET’s objective is to get children excited about science and math learning and to connect with STEM professionals to influence their future education and career choices. Volunteers typically lead six sessions of about one hour each with the same teacher and class of students during a school term. RESET provides a self-directed New Volunteer Training Program and covers expenses for transportation, classroom materials and field trips. RESET places volunteers in schools in their area of geographic preference, and scheduling of classroom sessions is flexible to accommodate volunteer availability. RESET also has a program to train high school students and Scouts to lead younger studemns in STEM learning.

Principal Davis of Cora Kelly Elementary comments: " Our children rely on RESET programs to give them a sense of hope and purpose."
