The Advanced Clinical Triage Squad (ACTS) , a volunteer first aid service, is looking for talented volunteers who can simulate ill or injured patients in EMS training scenarios.

We need actors of all ages who can convincingly play out a medical or traumatic emergency. You will be given an outline by the lead EMS instructor for medical accuracy, but the rest is all improv! You create the character!

Scenarios to Choose From:

  • Chest Pain

  • Asthma Attack

  • Seizure

  • Labor & Delivery

  • Trauma: Pedestrian Hit by Motor-Vehicle / Motor-Vehicle Ejections

  • Suicidal/Intoxicated/Psychiatric Emergencies

*If you choose a traumatic emergency, you may be required to wear makeup and/or fake blood

The Health Advocacy & Medical Exploration Society (HAMES) is a national nonprofit organization with the mission of effecting global change in the realm of medical science. We’re most notable for creating CPR and First-Aid legislation in schools, educating underrepresented young women in healthcare occupations, and coordinating domestic and international medical support.

We’re an official provider of American Heart Association, Red Cross, and National Safety Council courses, and currently hold over 3,000 volunteers.

HAMES is overseen by six councils:
- The Council on Emergency Medicine, Resuscitation Science, and EMS
- The Council on Neurology, Neuroscience, Mind, and Brain
- The Council on Cardiovascular Health & Stroke
- The Council on Pediatrics & Children’s Health
- The Council on Legislation, Government, Ethics, and Advocacy
- The Council on Continuing Education and Research
