The Project HEAL- University of Maryland (UMD) Chapter is excited to welcome 1-2 new volunteer(s) to their team to serve as a Social Media Manager. The Chapter Social Media Manager is Responsible for updating all Chapter social media accounts (Facebook page is required and must have at least 1 post shared per day/minimum of 7 posts per week; additional social media accounts such as Twitter or Instagram are not required but are strongly encouraged); ensures that individuals who reach out via social media are responded to in a timely manner (i.e. within 24-48 hours).

This position does not require the individual reside in Maryland and can be completed remotely.

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.

Description

Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.

We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
