ORGANIZATION: Project HEAL

  • 3 people are interested

The Project HEAL- Chicago Chapter is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a member of the Chicago community as we are seeking an individual interested in becoming a Co-leader to join the Chapter's executive board!

Some of the tasks and responsibilities of the co-leader role include: responsible for ensuring the maintenance of Project HEAL’s pri mary mission and creating a continued vision of growth for the organization on a local level; co-facilitate the Chapter’s monthly meetings; co-lead efforts in planning fundraisers; delegate and follow up on assigned tasks; work to find sponsorships for Chapter events; assist in overall functioning of new peer-led support program; maintains active correspondence with the National team.

Our Chicago Chapter is one of our most active and successful Chapters. In the fall of 2017, they will be one of seven Chapters who will launch a site of our new peer-led support program, Communities of HEALing, while continuing to do some fundraising. Having a co-leader to assist in the management of the Chapter will be essential, especially during the roll out of a new program.

The role of co-leader may take about 10 hours per week of your time and does require a 1-year commitment, as it is an executive board role. The specific time that this role is fulfilled during the week can be flexible, as we understand many people work and/or go to school (or have other things going on).
