Flower Power, Psychedelic, Peace & Love...San Francisco School of Needlework & Design (SNAD) is celebrating the Summer of Love with a HUGE and FABULOUS exhibition of stiched entries from around the world, inspired by Summer of Love: What Matters to Us Now. We're looking for volunteers interested in event planning to help organize the 60s-theme opening/fundraising party. Black-lights optional.

Our Vision:

  • Ensuring a future for the heritage of the art and craft of hand embroidery and needlework found in world-wide cultures, learning from and growing a community of intergenerational artisans, and expanding knowledge to create works, while preserving historic examples and methods.
  • Sharing our resources and knowledge with, and collaborating with, the broadest audience possible.
  • Spreading the enjoyment of the everyday cognitive and creative benefits of practicing a slow craft in a hyper-fast world.
