In honor of World Embroidery Day and the Summer of Love, San Francisco School of Needlework & Design (SNAD) is hosting a community Stitch-in! Join us in embellishing a giant peace symbol, at Presidio Picnic. Volunteers will help beginning stitchers from the crowd as well as add stitches to the banner and contribute to designs. SNAD staff will be on hand to impart stitching know-how. Great opportunity for families! Mission: show that embroidery is timeless, fun and fabulous! Non-stitchers welcome.
