The Worldview Project is a San Diego based non-profit whose mission is to promote cross-cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation through web-based resources, programs, publications, social networking and local events.

OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:

The Worldview Project is seeking an individual who has professional event planning or project management experience. The first project will be to organize logistics for our annual Harmony and Action International Music and Dance Festival, which will take place towards the end of September 2017.

The ideal candidate will be: An individual who must have at least 10 hours of availability each week and have a flexible schedule to attend all the planning sessions leading up to the event, as well as, the entire 3-day festival. After the festival, there will still be several other projects to work on. The applicant must be extremely reliable, resourceful, organized, detail oriented, collaborative, and possess excellent soft skills.

We are a non-profit organization made up of a very diverse all-volunteer staff, so cultural awareness and sensitivity is a must! No exceptions! We have lots of fun, but we also get a great deal of work done. This position is perfect for someone who is seeking PMI certification or an extended experience coordinating large scale events.
