We have partnered with two health centers in Springfield to distribute fresh produce at their locations. We are in need of volunteers to help with the delivery process of the produce to each location. We would like this volunteer opportunity to take place in the morning so that the health centers can distribute the produce right away. Please contact Elaina for more information.

Central Illinois Foodbank's mission is to provide food, and develop awareness of and creative solutions for food insecurity.
Description
Central Illinois Foodbank, established in 1982 by a coalition of churches, distributes over 8.5 million pounds of food annually to over 150 food pantries, soup kitchens, residential programs and after-school programs in a 21 county region. Central Illinois Foodbank is a member of Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization, and is a United Way certified agency.
Central Illinois Foodbank currently operates a 56,000 square foot distribution facility located in Springfield, Illinois. Central Illinois Foodbank is also proud to operate the Kids Cafe program with Springfield Urban League. Kids Cafe is a nation-wide program through Feeding America that feeds children a hot, nutritious meal in a safe environment.
