- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Please join us for our new volunteer training, where staff members from each discipline/profession will come to discuss their roles with our patients, their families, and our bereaved.
In training, we will discuss what to do and what to avoid as a volunteer, boundaries (setting them for yourself to prevent fatigue), examples of situations you may encounter. We will discuss signs and symptoms of the dying process and hospice 101- the hospice philosophy and how hospice began.
If you are looking for something flexible and a way to give back...this is for you. If you are interested, but concerned about sitting with patients there are ways volunteers can assist in our office.
We look forward to meeting you and having you become part of our team.
Each patient care volunteer must be at least 18 years old, all volunteers will have to go through background check and drug screen, patient care volunteers are required to have TB test done (we provide in our office)
We will see you on August 21, 2018 from 9am-4pm. (bring a light jacket and dress comfy, as we will be in our conference room)
RSVP to Jessica by August 20th at jblake@jhsi.com or 855-800-7673.
