Volunteers relieve primary caregivers for a few hours or an entire day. Volunteer stays with a chonically ill individual in their home while the caregiver gets away for a break. Weekend Respite may be done by couples, friends or older children and parent. This expands the volunteer experience for the entire family.

The Shepherd's Center of Kernersville is an interfaith ministry of volunteers who champion and sustain older or disabled adults.

We offer services and enrichment for older and/or disabled adults living in or closeby Kernersville, NC - Offering: Transportation (medical), Friendly Calls, In-Home Visitation, Personal Shopper (grocery/pharmacy errands), Handypersons (minor repairs), Equipment Loan, Pastoral Counseling (not licensed), Medicare/SHIIP Counseling, Legal Aide Counseling, Full-time Senior Enrichment Center, Caregiver Support Group, Computer Learning Center (computer and electronic device assistance), Income Tax Prep Program (Feb-Apr annually), Information and Referrals, and Advocacy Programs.
