Volunteer to assist customers in our bookstore. Take cash in payment for purchases. Organize and sort books. Price Books for sale. Accept donations and provide receipts for those donations. Training is available on site. Our shifts are 2 hours a day Monday through Sunday. One shift a week. Volunteers are needed particularly between 9 am and 5 pm. Students must be at least 15 years of age or enrolled in High School.
We do not accept Court appointed community Service.
Volunteer hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday
and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The mission of the Friends of the Surprise Libraries, Inc is to promote the presence of the Libraries for the benefit of the community and to create public awareness by serving as an advocate for the libraries. We support the three public libraries in Surprise in addition to local school libraries , teachers and reading programs primarily though sales of donated books and other media sold at Friends' Place bookstore located inside the Surprise Library lobby at 16089 N. Bullard Avenue.
