Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families during the patient's end of life journey. Hospice volunteer opportunities may include:
- Companionship for patients (conversing, reading, playing games, engaging in life review)
- Caregiver relief
- Hand massage (training provided)
- Legacy work (training provided)
- Light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, meal prep)
- Running errands
Patients live in private homes or facilities in and around the Princeton, Pease, Zimmerman and surrounding communities. You will be strategically matched with patients based on geographic preferences and similar interests. Volunteering is very flexible. You accept assignments based on your availability. The time you spend volunteering each week is flexible and will be scheduled directly with patients and/or caregivers.
No medical experience is necessary. You will not be required to provide personal cares or administer medications. Health screening, background check, and training provided at no cost to you.

Mission Statement
Mission: Our compassionate, qualified teams partner with community healthcare providers to deliver consistently exceptional care for patients and their families.
Description
When life expectancy is limited, Accentcare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers will help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patient's own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
