Be the face of the Women's Museum of California when you work as a volunteer in our Museum store and gallery!
Most visitors never make it up to our offices and archives, which means our store volunteers are often the only person they see when they come to the Museum. If you're an outgoing and organized person, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
Museum store volunteers open the gallery (Wed-Sun 12-4pm), greet visitors, and answer general questions about the Museum's exhibits, programs, and history. We ask that store volunteer be available at elast two days a month, preferably on a set schedule (i.e. every 2nd and 4th Sunday).

About Women's Museum of California
Location:
1649 El Prado, Suite 103, San Diego, CA 92101, US
Mission Statement
To educate and inspire present and future generations about the experiences and contributions of women by collecting, preserving and interpreting the evidence of that experience.
Description
The Women's Museum of California was founded in 1983 by Mary B. Maschal who recognized the gap in knowledge and lack of women role models in our accepted history and began collecting materials to teach the public. Now, a committed Board of Directors, Staff, and many volunteers and interns work on a variety of programs, events, and exhibits both at the museum and within the community of San Diego County. The WMC is one of 3 standalone Museums in the United States that focuses on the history, experiences, and contributions of women.
