The American Heart Association will be participating in several Station Casino employee health fairs throughout the Las Vegas valley during the month of August. Our focus will be creating an awareness and a presence for the American Heart Association in the community, as well as educating and promoting a healthier lifestyle. There will be demonstrations, various medical providers, and community outreach agencies participating as well.
If you enjoy talking to people and are interested in sharing our message of heart health and heart disease/stroke prevention with the community, we need you! All materials will be provided, we just need your time and energy!
Volunteers and staff will be providing information to health fair attendees on symptoms of heart attack and stroke, how to prevent heart disease by improving their overall health, and our annual fundraising events. If you have medical training and are qualified to administer blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, etc. and you would like to do so at these events, please contact me directly.
We would love to have you come and educate the community with the American Heart Association!

The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded by six cardiologists in 1924, our organization now includes more than 22.5 million volunteers and supporters. What We Do
To improve the lives of all Americans, we provide public health education in a variety of ways. We’re the nation’s leader in CPR education training. We help people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle choices. We provide science-based treatment guidelines to healthcare professionals to help them provide quality care to their patients. We educate lawmakers, policymakers and the public as we advocate for changes to protect and improve the health of our communities. The association has funded more than $3.7 billion in heart disease and stroke research, more than any organization outside the federal government.
