Mission Statement
The Jane Addams Resource Corporation (JARC) promotes strong communities, businesses and households to ensure that people who work do not live in poverty. JARC builds healthy communities through workforce, economic, and human development. Our mission is to help people improve their skills so they can advance both personally and professionally.
Description
JARC is a key regional site for the Center for Working Families (CWF), an innovative program that is intended to increase financial stability among low-income residents in neighborhoods throughout Chicago. CWF helps families and individuals become more financially secure by providing clients with Financial Education, Income Supports, and Employment Services. We are accomplishing this goal through every phase of the job seeking process, from initial screening and overcoming barriers to one-on-one coaching and resume writing. We also provide one-on-one tutoring opportunities for adult learners. JARC's training programs target in-demand industries (CNC Machine Operation, Welding, IT) and occupations that offer family sustaining wages, benefits and authentic career paths.
