Interlock Media, Inc. located outside Kendall Square, MA, is an activist film company that points to solutions for environmental, human rights and public health challenges. We support informed policy by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.

We are seeking emerging 2D/3D Animators to volunteer their services for our team. We are working on an exciting historical film that includes map animation, 3D recreations of stunning historical photography, compositing, 2D/3D motion graphics and so on. Animators will work closely with the Director and the Senior Editor to assist in post-production graphics creation.

Schedule : Minimum of 25 hr/wk, full time (40 hr/wk) preferred

Compensation : Unpaid internship, Credit may be available for students

Location : Convenient to public transportation and Kendall Square

Job Type : Non-profit. 4-month commitment OR summer


Experience:

Applicants should have formal training and experience in After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar software. Illustration chops and experience with Illustrator/ Photoshop / InDesign / Dreamweaver a plus. Candidates should also be comfortable with the technical aspects of post-production equipment and be able to troubleshoot when necessary.

Description

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Salary: None Qualifications:

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
