Kentucky Refugee Ministries is looking for volunteers ages 19 and up to help incoming refugees integrate into the Lexington community. We do have internships available for high school and college students.

Volunteers assist in various aspects of refugee's integration including:

*preparing apartments for the refugees to occupy prior to their arrival

*volunteer in office with applications, documents, etc.

*transport refugees to and from medical and other appointments, M-F, 8a-4p (20 y.o )

*tutor refugee adults in english, writing, and reading (20 y.o. )

*mentor a family as they transition into new lives in Lexington (20 y.o. )

*generally help support and welcome refugees

*No minimum time commitment required, but at least 4 hours a month for 3 months is preferred.
