Iowa Irish Fest is dedicated to celebrating Irish culture in Iowa, takes place in the Lincoln Park area of downtown Waterloo, and is held annually during the first full weekend of August. To do this we need almost 1000 volunteers to do everything from take tickets at the gate, sell beer/food vouchers, check ID's, serve beer, help with our family area and many other things. For a 2-3 hour donation of your time you get your 3 day pass to our festival for free. To sign up please visit our website at www.iowairishfest.com

The Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association is an organization intended to foster and develop Irish fellowship and outreach into the community with Irish cultural events and programs. Association President, Jim Walsh, said, "The Irish in Iowa have done such a fine job of melding into their communities that we felt it was time to draw them back out a bit and show them off to their neighbors and as many visitors as we could."
