Description

Description

Neighbors Who Care is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Sun Lakes and South Chandler since 1994. We provide non-medical services aimed at helping seniors age in place with dignity.

On average, we help seniors remain in their own homes an additional 4 or 5 years.

We are 100% volunteer-driven, and all services are offered free of charge. We are funded through grants, fundraising, and donations.

Volunteers serve as little or as much as their schedule allows. Serve once a week or once a month, whatever works for your busy schedule. Most services are offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. We service 32 square miles; our clients must live within our boundaries, but volunteers can live anywhere.

Services include: Transportation to medical appointments, shopping & errands, Non-medical respite care, dinner delivery, minor repairs, welfare checks, reassurance calling, friendly visiting, van services (for shopping), and more. Volunteers choose the services they feel comfortable providing.

Neighbors Who Care also offers educational opportunities to the community free of charge. Summer Speaker Series, Aging Made Easier Conference, and more. Visit our website at neighborswhocare.com to learn more.
