Melt your heart in the preschool classroom at Encompass. Kids look up to our volunteers, but you might find that you are learning more than you can teach the kids! As you read books, assist with learning stations, play games, and assist the teachers, you will be providing additional one-on-one time for all the kids in the classroom. Come for a day and you'll find it hard to say goodbye.
Volunteers commit to coming into the classroom for 3 hours on a weekly or every other week schedule. Because of the relationships that are formed, we ask that you commit to at least three months. Our classrooms are comprised of both typically developing children and children with developmental delays and other special needs. Our classrooms are also mixed with tuition-paying students and ECEAP students. There is no difference between children in the classroom, everyone is treated equally.

Description
Encompass is an independent, non-profit organization established in 1966 with a mission to build healthy foundations for children.
Our programs nurture both typical and developmentally challenged children, enrich families in all their diversity, and inspire community throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Sammamish and the greater Eastside. Our focus is on children age birth to 8 and our core programs are early education, pediatric therapy, and family enrichment and support.
