MuckFest MS: Constituent Care Volunteer

Overview:

The Constituent Care Volunteer organizes outreach to build relationships with MuckFest MS participants, enhancing the event experience for all. Timeframe: July - November.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using a defined list of past and current event participants, call individuals to thank them for participating in the MuckFest MS fundraising event
  • Ask open-ended questions (a list of sample questions provided) and record responses
  • Identify any areas of concern or opportunity that the individual may have
  • Collaborate with Staff Liaison to ensure areas of concern or opportunities with each individual are addressed within 48 hours of initial contact with constituent
  • Provide detailed notes on each constituent interaction to Staff Liaison

Education and Support:

  • The Constituent Care Volunteer will work alongside National MS Society staff for continued support throughout the year
  • Volunteers will receive training on office phone use, how to best organize response information, general MuckFest MS information, event timelines and deadlines, and any updates that would affect the work at hand

Qualifications and Time Commitment:

  • Must successfully complete background check, provided by the MS Society
  • Minimum commitment of 2-3 volunteer hours weekly, July - November
  • Must be well-versed on Society’s mission, vision, and core values, working knowledge of MuckFest MS a plus
  • Ability to speak confidently to constituents and provide positive customer care

Impact:

  • The Constituent Care Volunteer will foster awareness amongst MuckFest MS constituents through promotion of the Society’s mission, vision, and core values, resulting in a positive participant event experience
  • The Constituent Care Volunteer will help build a movement that will increase the funds raised through MuckFest MS and move us closer to a world free of MS.

We engage volunteers at every level. Join an event committee, volunteer at a walk or bike event, advocate at the capitol, volunteer at our office, no matter how you choose to contribute, you are doing something about MS now!

The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to share their time and talent to help stop MS!
