Come lend a hand with Teachers' Treasures and help your community's students and teachers get ready to go back to school! Volunteers will assist teachers in our free store as they get registered, check-in, and check out with their cartloads of classroom supplies. We serve students and teachers at schools with 60% or higher free and reduced lunch rates. It's hard to be successful as a kindergartner if you don't have a pencil, and that's where we step in!
Check out our website to learn more about how you can impact your city with Teachers' Treasures: http://www.teacherstreasures.org/
We need energetic and fun-loving volunteers Monday-Thursdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, in August and September! If you enjoy our company enough, you are welcome to stay on board for the rest of the school year as well! Training is very quick and easy and we can accomidate you before your shift begins!

About Teachers' Treasures

Mission Statement
Teachers' Treasures obtains and distributes school supplies to teachers of classrooms and students in need.
Description
Every day at public, charter, private, and parochial schools located throughout Marion County, children of all ages attend class without the most basic supplies they need to get a good education. Dedicated teachers are often willing to pay for these much needed supplies out of their own pockets to make sure the kids in their classrooms have the necessary tools to learn.
Teachers' Treasures, in partnership with local businesses, charitable foundations, neighborhood organizations and individual contributors, helps fill this need by operating a volunteer based "Free Store for Teachers." Donated educational supplies and other materials are distributed via this unique conduit to teachers for the benefit of their students.
Teachers' Treasures offers a variety of group volunteer activities that can be tailored to your group or organization. Please contact Hanna Yaeger-Busch at hanna@teacherstreasures.org or call 317-264-1758 for more information.
Teachers who volunteer 2 or more hours can earn extra shopping passes. Teachers who are normally ineligible to shop can also volunteer to earn opportunities to shop.
