ORGANIZATION: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

Manages and oversees the maintenance and distribution/collection of athletic and sports equipment for the park during the football season.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversees the coordination of day-to-day equipment needs and the maintenance of it.
  2. Determines needs and communicates with Park Director to acquire athletic and sports equipment.
  3. Establishes, maintains and reconciles uniform and equipment inventories.
  4. Oversees uniform and equipment distribution and retrieval as needed.
  5. Ensures that all uniforms and related apparel and equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition during and after the season.
  6. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  2. Knowledge of athletic, mechanical equipment, supplies and/or uniform repair.
  3. Organization and coordination skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  1. Moderate physical activity. Requires handing of average-weight objects up to 50 lbs.
  2. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt and rain.

Hours: 5:30 - 8:30 pm, 2-3 days per week, August thru October, 2017
