Summer Lunches Bring Smiles to Kids Faces
In 2016 we served over 22,000 meals to hungry kids in just 10 weeks! IYS serves meals at numerous locations throughout Klamath County, and at our Youth Center on E. Main St. As a volunteer you can bring a smile to a child's face by helping provide a yummy and nutritious meal!

The IYS Free Summer Lunch program provides a healthy, filling, USDA approved lunch to youth 1-18 during the summer. This meal replaces the free or reduced lunch that students receive during the school year. Volunteers support this vital program by working in our cafeteria prepping food and stuffing lunch bags. Volunteers can also go out on lunch routes with our staff volunteers, and help distribute lunches to kids in our many locations. This is an amazing opportunity to interact with the kids that we serve.

Description

Integral Youth Services (IYS) is a private, faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) social service agency which has been providing services to homeless, at-risk and runaway youth in Klamath County since 1988. IYS provides an array of programs and services to more than 2033 Klamath County youth annually.

IYS operates a wide range of programs and services, each 'integrating’ with one another to meet the needs of youth and their families. These can be categorized in the following seven areas:

Intervention, emergency shelter, youth housing, advocacy, education, life skills training, employment and employment training.

We believe in serving our youth with compassion and encouragement. We believe in providing opportunities, structure and accountability, which leads to a sense of responsibility. Our philosophies enable us to nurture the youth that we serve, releasing their full potential.
