You’re participation will mean men, women, families, children and senior citizens get the hope, confidence and the nourishment they deserve to live healthier lives.

What is age requirement?

Anyone 16 and older can volunteer unaccompanied.

What will I be doing?

You will be sorting through donated food and checking for quality control. You may also be bagging. Delivery to our recipient partners is a big part of the job so be prepared to transport food. You may be asked to carry boxed items which could weigh up to 30 lbs.

Mission Statement

The Joseph Anthony Izzo Food Rescue Corps (JAiFRC) is an all-volunteer charitable origination that searches for, rescues & delivers fresh healthy groceries to food pantries & shelters throughout Northern Illinois. Our primary mission is providing support & stability to local social safety net organizations devoted to serving food-insecure citizens & communities. Since launching in April 2017 JAiFRC members have delivered over 50 tons of fresh, healthy, viable food to our network partners.
