The Kitchen Cleaner & Organizer will clean the kitchen and organize the food pantry to help provide a smooth operation in the kitchen during our programming. The kitchen serves evening meals for youth and adult programing.
Specific Duties:
- Clean and sanitize refrigerator, freezers, stove, ovens, microwaves, and dish sanitizer.
- Clean and sanitize all countertops and sinks, and wash fronts of appliances
- Make sure all utensils, dishes, pots and pans are clean and put away
- Organize food pantry shelves, pots and pan shelves, and shelves for dishes
- Vacuum vents on appliances
- Sweep and mop the floor
- Empty trash cans and break down cardboard as needed
Qualifications Sought:
- Ability to stand, bend, and move freely for duration of shift
- Ability to lift and move bulky items
- Able to work independently and accept some occasional supervisor
- Display of good judgment and understanding of appliance functions
- Good sense of organization
- Friendly and Courteous of others and be mindful of Church environment

Description
The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
