Jewish Family Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 3 people are interested

Volunteers needed to help JFS's Refugee and Immigrant Service Center to help communicate with newly arrived refugees. There may be opportunities to help as classroom assistants or as a translator at meetings or over the phone. Help may be needed with special projects, such as client surveys.

We are especially in need of volunteers who speak the languages of Ethiopia, particularly Oromo, Tigrinya and Amharic.

Sorry, JFS cannot work with remote translators and interpreters. At this time, we are only able to work with volunteers who are able to do in-person interpreting.
