At Matthew's Child, we have a clothing closet that we offer free or charge to foster and adoptive families. Thanks to generous donors, it's starting to overflow, and we need help sorting and arranging the clothing. This is an ongoing need, and we can work with your schedule any time M-F 9am-5pm.

About MATTHEWS CHILD

Location:

2014 MEMORIAL AVENUE SUITE B, ROANOKE, VA 24015, US

Mission Statement

At any given time, there are approximately 400 children placed in foster care in the Roanoke Valley through various agencies. Countless other families are working with ongoing Child Protective Service agencies, and are at risk of coming into care. The families that open their homes to these children often feel unsupported, under-appreciated, and overwhelmed. Statistically, 50% of foster families quit within the first year of receiving their first placement. Matthew’s Child is designed to bridge the gap between the physical and emotional needs of these children and families. We offer programs to support these hurting children, the biological families, the foster families, social service workers, and anyone else touched by "the system."
